Ironically for the western part of Washington State, snow is very uncommon. In fact so uncommon there are years we have gotten none at all.
This year, however, has been a different story. February has been a record breaking month of snow and ice of what reminds me of my winters in Chicago.
Except of course in Chicago they plowed and salted the roads, and folks had a general sense of how to drive, and cars were not abandoned (literally) in the middle of the road, and there were not terrifying hills to traverse.
In any case, it’s certainly more beautiful to see >50ft evergreens painted white. I just hope the ones not used to the snow can weather the storm (again, literally) so they aren’t too damaged or worse as a result.
