“When it comes to standards, as a leader, it’s not what you preach, it’s what you tolerate.”

A colleague of mine suggested this book after I used the analogy of leading multiple battle-fronts. Upon doing so he recommended I read Extreme Ownership, which literally covers exactly that.

This is a great read for anyone who aspires to be a great leader by example and empower high performing teams to do their best. Further, the authors do an exceptional job in the format of this book by giving very clear war-time examples as analogies for the “real world” and business scenarios.

Leadership is a universal skill, applicable in every facet of life, and Jocko Willink and Leif Babin have done a masterful job in this book of explaining how to level up your leadership skills.
